Thank-you for the list of items to get me excited about putting a car emergency kit together. As I was preparing to put my car emergency kit I was thinking of items that I have needed in my own emergencies. As a mother of 5 and a grandmother that tends her 6 grandchilren regularly I have added the following to my emergency kit: A few small plastic sacks, diapers & childrens underwear (a couple for each size child) and baby wipes. I placed these items in a ziploc bag. Along with the blanket on the list I also have added a couple of solar blankets. I have also added a instant cold pack. I placed all of the items I mentioned above in a small duffle bag along with some of the items on the list. Some of these items have come in very handy for me especially times when I have forgotten the diaper bag.
